Yet another fic born from my feverish mind.
I should really stop and sleep now.

A Girl’s Dream

One day, there was a new resident coming to Ptolemaios Street. She happened to be a slight built young girl who just came to live wither aunt. Her name was Marina Ismail and she was not very pleased the moment she first entered the steps of her aunt’s house.

Marina was born and had been living all her life until that time in a small country in Middle East called Azadistan. She loved staying there and was reluctant to leave her homeland. Yet the scholarship she received was more than appealing to be passed up. With heavy heart, she then left her beautiful Azadistan, that country that was forever decorated with smoke and ruins, only to come to that seemingly peaceful and silent neighbourhood.

Marina sighed. It had been three days ever since she arrived on her Aunt Shirin’s house and already, she was bored. Her school would begin on the following week so at that moment she practically had nothing to do. Her Aunt Shirin told her it was just because she was not used to the environment yet that she felt uncomfortable but Marina knew it was not the case. Ptolemaios Street was simply too quiet for her.

Her wandering mind brought her back the images of her beloved Azadistan and she felt smile breaking on her face. There was never a quiet day in Azadistan. Everyday, things happened. There would be some terror bombing on the city’s market. Or suddenly some fighting jets would fly across the sky and rain the land below with missiles. There would always be the sudden ringing of some sirens waking her in the middle of the night to let people know that some part of the city was burnt or destroyed or bombed or whatever. She could walk to the market any day and amused herself in reading the long list posted on the big billboard containing the names of the deceased as being recorded the previous night. All in all, life was never boring in Azadistan.

Yet now that she lived in Ptolemaios Street, she could not obtain such luxury any longer. The only thing she could spot flying above her head was some cute little birds. The only sound she could hear during the night was the dog next door howling with such pathetic noise until she got up from bed and threw her night slipper to the general direction where the sound came. The day after, she woke up earlier than any living thing on Ptolemaios Street to take her night slipper back from the side of a cooling corpse of a hound. And there was never any bombing. The nearest thing she could have was some children playing with firecrackers and the sound only made her missed her homeland even more.

With a sigh, Marina reclined herself to the chair she sat on. At that moment, she was sitting on a rattan chair placed conveniently on the balcony outside her room window. If she wanted, she could easily watch the neighbourhood but she failed to understand why she should do that. She was bored but she could do nothing about it. Her aunt had just gone off for work (it sometimes confused her why her aunt always worked from afternoon until morning unlike the majority of people and she secretly imagined that her aunt was a part of a terrorist sect of some sort) and she was forced to entertain herself during her aunt’s absence. Just what she should do, she wondered.

Suddenly, a commotion reached her keen ears (one had to have some keen ears to survive living in Azadistan, after all). Tilting her face to the direction of the sound, he looked at a simple white house directly on the right of her aunt’s house. Her aunt had told her that the Meisters lived there but she had never seen them before.

The sound went louder and Marina then saw a man walking out of the house. She felt her breath caught as he watched him. It was reasonable since the man looked really attractive in suits. His bright eyes and gentle smile were something that any girl would find attractive, and moreover his voice… oh God, his voice!

“I’m fine, Tieria,” the mysterious man said. “I can go to work, trust me.”

There was a sigh and Marina saw another man coming out of the house to join the first. Unlike the first, this man was more slender and he had shoulder length perfect hair in a curious colour she doubted it was not artificial. This second man, whom she thought was named Tieria, walked until he was directly face to face with the first man. Standing on their front yard like that, Marina could easily watch them and she was every bit thankful for that.

“Lockon onii-san,” the second man, Tieria, said and let Marina know that the first one was named Lockon. “Don’t be stubborn!”

“I tell you I’m fine…”

“Oh yes, right, you are fine. You will always say that,” Tieria snapped with an angry voice. “Are you so eager to see your clients or what? Oh, so stupid of me, of course those ladies could pamper the number one host like you better than any comfort that our house might offer. Well, sorry to delay you.”

A host, Marina exclaimed loudly in her head. Well, no wonder he looked so attractive. As for the other one…

“Tieria,” Lockon said amusedly to the other man whom she was sure could easily be a Pantene pro V spokesperson. “You looked cute when you are jealous, you know?”

“I am not jealous!” Tieria almost screamed before his expression softened. “I’m worried about you, Lockon onii-san…”

Seeing that act, Marina’s breath caught in her throat. Tsundere, she thought in glee. What a beautiful afternoon it was that she could see a host and a tsundere in a love-love situation like that. Oh joy…

“Don’t worry about me,” the one named Lockon said as he ruffled that purple hair that made Marina even more convinced it was artificial. “I know how to take care of myself. Now you just be a dear and let me do my work, okay?”

The tsundere named Tieria heaved a dejected sigh, “I just cannot win against you, Lockon onii-san.”

“That’s perfectly why I’m the older brother here,’ Lockon said with a smile that surely would melt any girl’s heart. In any case, Marina’s heart did melt seeing that smile, moreover when Lockon flicked Tieria’s forehead as he said, “I’m off now.”

At that point, the one named Tieria seemed already accepted the fact that he would never be able to hold his dear brother from his work. Instead of talking back at him, he sent him off with a heartfelt “Be careful” that only made Marina’s heart melt even more. That brief interaction between those two men she spotted from her aunt’s balcony was enough to raise his respect for Ptolemaios Street a tiny notch in her heart.

Long after the one named Lockon disappeared around the street corner and the one named Tieria entered the house, Marina still looked at the direction where those two men had stood a few moments back. In her mind she already developed several scenarios that would surely look very nice printed on papers. Praise be to God who had created pretty boys, she prayed fervently in her heart. Praise be to God who had created computer graphics and give her nice HP Pavilion tx2500z tablet PC that made the entire process of drawing and colouring a whole lot easier.

So deep was Marina in her thought that she almost missed the two young men walking to the white house numbered 00 in Ptolemaios Street. Yet her keen sensor picked up quickly and when she snapped her head up, she could see two nearly identical men walking side by side. One of them looked like he just recently involved in some kind of fight for she could spot some bruises on the corner of his lips, which were scowling by the way. The other one looked crestfallen as he walked alongside the first.

“You shouldn’t really have done that, Hallelujah,” the crestfallen one said. “I could handle it on my own.”

“Bullshit!” the one named Hallelujah said as he swung the white gate of the house open. Marina, seeing that, began to think that it was surely her luck to move into a house next to another house which presumably lodged several good looking boys in it.

“Tieria onii-san will be furious if he knows you’ve been fighting again…”

“Let him be,” Hallelujah said, entering the front yard of the white house. The other followed him though his face still bore the look of distress.

“But…”

“Allelujah!” Hallelujah cut him off and his calling the other only enhanced Marina’s suspicion that they were twins. “That old pervert was molesting you, godammit, do you think I could stand still doing nothing when I see that?”

The one named Allelujah nodded solemnly, “But I also don’t like seeing you got hurt because of me.”

Hallelujah, the sturdier looking one, heaved a sigh and seemed to mutter a curse under his breath. The he moved closed to his twin and patted his head gently.

“I’m okay, see, it was just a piece of cake, no bones broken, right?” he said to his twin. “I am your older brother, dammit, even if I’m only born twenty minutes before you but I’m still your older brother. I have my responsibility toward you and that includes beating the living hell out of some crazy old pervert who thinks groping a man’s ass is a smart thing to do, you got it?”

Allelujah did not say a thing but he nodded.

“Good, now let’s get inside,” Hallelujah said, effectively ending their conversation. “And if you still feel bad about this whole thing, you can very well steer way from those perverts in the future.”

That time, Allelujah did smile and he grabbed Hallelujah’s hand as he guided him inside the house, saying, “Yes, onii-san,” with a mock obedient tone that only made Hallelujah let out a string of irritated tirade. They went inside the house and the closed door blocked them out of Marina’s view yet she still stared at the front yard long after the two entered the house.

That beautiful display of brotherly love was surely something to remember, she thought as her mind happily played the scene over and over again in her head. Maybe Ptolemaios Street was not so bad, she thought. There he could see a host being lovey-dovey with a tsundere and she could also see some brotherly love between those irresistible twins.

Yet the best thing had yet to come.

Marina was still staring at the house when suddenly a boy appeared from the corner of the street. He walked to that certain white house and when the view of the boy entered her field of vision, Marina felt like screamed ‘shotacon’ at the top of her lungs. That boy was a perfect shota bait, Marina thought, with his cute face and slightly pouting lips. She could easily imagine him wearing a pair of fake cat ears atop his head. And he seemed to be living in that house too, that certain white house that stood directly beside her aunt’s house. Just how much luckier could she get?

The answer to that personal question came to her when the boy looked up and their eyes met. For a brief moment they held their gaze before the boy gave a brief nod and entered the house. Yet that nod was enough to make Marina feel hot all of sudden.

Unable to hold her urge anymore, she entered her room and opened her beloved tabled PC. For the next few hours she could be seen working on something before her open computer with a gleeful smile permanently placed upon her lips. And the next time she saw her aunt, she thanked her with all her heart and told her that it was really fun to live in Ptolemaios Street.

Marina's character is "broken" indeed, but I LOVE it! XD Love how you portray her as the sterotypical rabid doujin-drawing fangirl. MORE PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE!

Marina would be so much more interesting like this. I hope you will make a whole series based on Ptolemaios street >.<

There are some typos to correct, but aside from that, nice job =)

I indeed am intending to make more fics based on Ptolemaios Street and I'm so happy that people seem to love this universe. Sorry for the typos, will try to watch out for those in the future. And overall, thank you!
